Europe index funds invest in a sizable bucket of large, mid, and small-cap stocks across Europe.  According to Vanguard, this accounts for about half of the non-US equity market.

Europe funds have a natural heavy overlap with international developed, so investors seeking this type of fund might be best suited selecting one or the other, but not necessarily both.
