FAQ
Why Discord?
While it was originally designed for gamers, Discord has grown into a great way to connect with all types of online communities. It has tons of features like text chats, forums, and live events. And the many different bots make it easy to moderate and add fun interactive functionality.
How does Discord work?
If you’re new to Discord, take a minute to read the Beginner’s Guide to Discord. It’s a cool system that makes it easy to communicate with lots of different people.
Why do I need to provide my phone number?
If you haven’t already registered a phone number with Discord, you’ll be asked to provide one to join the Portfolio Charts server. Your number remains completely private and is hidden even from me. It is used solely as a security measure to keep out spam accounts and enforce bans for disruptive behavior.
Are any topics not allowed?
Professional advice is strictly prohibited.
Aside from that hard rule, I want to encourage good discussion and I’m not the type to enforce heavy-handed moderation. All I ask is that you stay on topic, be polite, avoid politics, and keep it family-friendly.
